Roofmates — Publication candidate

Roofmates Privacy Policy

Not yet effective. This candidate must be reconciled with the production release and approved retention schedule before publication.

Roofmates helps people coordinate shared living, including household expenses, obligations, settlements, plans, messages, chores, Pools, and Events. This policy explains how information is handled in the Roofmates applications, websites, and related services.

No advertising sale or tracking

Roofmates does not sell personal information, serve third-party behavioral ads, or track users across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. The planned release does not access an address book, precise device location, health information, or raw card or bank credentials.

How information is shared

Information is shared with the household, Event, Pool, transaction, or participant audience selected by the product rules; with contracted service providers needed for authentication, infrastructure, diagnostics, payments, messaging, and support; when required for law and safety; or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protection.

Retention and deletion

Request deletion in the app from the You tab by selecting Delete account, or through the public deletion page. Unsettled obligations may temporarily block completion. After settlement, Roofmates removes or de-identifies account-level personal information and requests deletion of the authentication account.

Shared financial, settlement, dispute, audit, security, and legally required records may remain under the non-identifying “Deleted user” label when other participants rely on that history. Backups may retain data until the normal backup cycle expires. Retained records are not used for advertising.

Security

Planned production safeguards include TLS in transit, managed encrypted storage, restricted database roles, least-privilege access, encrypted push tokens, signed provider webhooks, audit logs, rate limiting, secret management, and monitored backups. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, or to appeal a request decision. Use the in-app controls or email support@cedarwavetechnologies.com. We may verify identity before fulfilling a request.

Children and international processing

Roofmates is not directed to children under 13, and the proposed Terms require users to be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where approved service providers operate.
